When I overheard Tanya telling another student about how her yoga practice kept her grounded and sane during a diffcult visit to her ill mother's house, I knew Tanya had to be my student of the month! Learn more abou Tanya and how she benefits from a regular yoga practice.
1. What brought you to yoga?
Initially I started taking classes because I was working here and decided one day to give it a try. And now...I'm hooked.
2. How has practicing yoga helped or changed you?
Right now I'm going through a difficult time with my mom and her health. Yoga calms my "monkey" brain when it all becomes overwhelming.
3. What is one of your favorite poses or yoga practices and why?
Any pose that involves heart opening. It helps with destressing and because I crochet a lot and am always bent over . My second favorite it legs up the wall...yummy
4. Do you want to share anything else?
Many people think yoga is for "skinny, little, young, white girls". I am neither skinny, young or white and since practicing yoga for the past 2 years I have never felt better.
